Makeup Designs of my Venus Flytrap Hybrid

Ideas of my makeup design:
For my character design, I want to use color to hints the flytrap's color through make-up and also the brown color of the soil. Soil is one of the important things which helps flytraps to grow, so I have decided to use the dark brown color of the soil on the makeup look as well. Water, is also important to the growth of the flytraps and in order to present the elements of water, I have thought of using lip gloss to achieve the moisture, shiny effects. I want to create dewy base for the skin and so I will use the foundation with less coverage, but also moisturizing to give a natural fresh look like the nature. I will just cover the blemishes on the face with concealer. I want to keep most of the original skin tone on my designs as I want to portray a more human like character but interrupt some of the elements of the Venus flytraps for my hybrid through the use of colors. Also, by keeping the original skin tone of  my model, it helps me to stand out the flytrap's color (green and red) and the color of the soil (dark brown) on the face. I want to create makeup looks which enhance the femininity and the beauty of my character, but also show a bit of evilness to match the fake fangs that I will be using on my character.

Design 1:
For design 1, I have mainly focus on the idea of using green and red which shows the flytrap's color. I have used a green eye shadow on both lids first and then add the dark brown color on the outer v areas to create depth on the eyes. I have used the dark red color from the supracolor palette and brush the upper lashes with the color and the disposable mascara. To show the brown color of the soil, I have applied dark brown contouring under the cheekbones, side of the nose and also on the forehead area. I have also used a dark brown color for the brows to link to the color of the soil as well and I just used dark brown eye shadow to fill in the brows to remain the original features of the human. For the lip look, I have applied the green color on the lips first and then apply the red color on the inner part of the lips. This reminds me of the color of the flytraps. At the end, I have applied gloss on the cheeks and also on the lips to create the wet look which represents the elements of water.
After I have tried the look on myself, I found out that the camera can't pick up the red color of my lashes. I like how I've put the gloss on the cheeks and lips and I think it works well with the idea of presenting the elements of water (wet look). I also like the lip makeup as it looks like the flytraps and the red inner lips add femininity to the character. To improve, I think I can add more dark brown color for the eye makeup to create a more dramatic look and also gives a more evil looking.

Design 2:
On design 2, I have used the bright green lips to show the colors of the flytraps and I have also put gloss on the lips to show the elements of water (wet effect). On this makeup look, I have focused on a lot of brown tones which links to the color of the soil, for instance: the dark brown contouring under the cheekbones and around the forehead, the brows and the eye shadow on the eyes. I have applied the green color on the lower lash line and blend the color as well. I want to keep the eyelashes natural, so I just curl them and it helps to keep the features of the human. I have used the reddish pink color around the forehead and a bit on the side of the nose to show the colors of the flytraps. I have used angled brows to show and enhance the power of the character.
I think on this makeup look, to improve I can apply the gloss not only on the lips, but also on the cheeks or eyelids as I think the way I just applied the gloss on the lips didn't show strong enough the elements of the water. Also, I think I can use a darker brown color to make the look more dramatic and powerful. I like the reddish pink color on the forehead and I think it shows the feminine side of the character. I like the way how the shape on the brown eye shadow on the lids went and it helps me to create a more evil looking character.

Design 3:
For design 3, I have mainly used the pinkish red color for the eye make-up and a dark brown color to add depth to the eyes and show the color of the soil. On this makeup look, I will keep the original brow color of my model to show the elements of the human. Also, I have applied gloss on the eyelids to create the wet look (present elements of water). I have used dark brown color to contour the face to represent the colors of the soil and also used hidden green color and applied around the forehead and a bit under the cheekbones and enhance the bone structure on the neck to show the color of the flytraps. I have used a purplish red color on the lips to show the color of the flytraps.
I like the idea of the hidden green color around the forehead and under the cheekbones and also the way I use green color to enhance the bones on the neck which shows the colors of the flytraps. I think the gloss on the eyes looks good and it definitely helps me to create the wet look to present the elements of water. The pinkish red color on the eyelids and the color on the lips help me to bring the femininity appearance of the character.

Chosen design: Design 3
Design 3
I have decided to use design 3 for my final design of my Human Flytrap Hybrid as I like how the character shows a strong femininity side of my character and helps me to present a beautiful creature for my hybrid. I like the way how I used the hidden green color on the neck to emphasis the bone structure of the human body and present the color of the flytraps. By doing this, it also helps me to create a more creepy character and I think it is suitable for the look after I have applied the fangs on the teeth to create an evil appearance.

Also, I am going to use the dark red nail polish for my final look as well. The dark red color links to the color of the Venus flytraps and also shows the femininity of the character.
