'The Venus' of the Venus Flytraps

I have took the word 'Venus' from the Venus Flytraps and develop the ideas for my hybrid design further. The word 'Venus' linked to the Roman Goddess of Love, Sex, Beauty, Desire, Prosperity and Fertility. It also links to the Greek Aphrodite which is the Greek goddess of love, pleasure, beauty and procreation. The Greek Aphrodite Roman's name also known as the Venus as well. Both Venus and Aphrodite also have signs which represent their character. On my design, I want to use one of their signs to present the ideas of my Venus Flytraps Human character which is roses - white and red. White roses link to Aphrodite (Venus) as there are myths that when 'she sprang forth into life from the foam of the sea, and where the foam fell to the ground white roses grew. This and later myths about Aphrodite display the dual nature of love: purity and innocence represented by white roses; desire and sexual gratification by red ones.' 
I want my character to present a Goddess character as we are creating a new beauty ideals character. Roses also link to the plants and I think it fits in the idea of my character of creating a plant hybrid as well.
